CSAR chemical regulations were revamped in 2021, not only transforming the registration process for existing ingredients but also providing a pathway for introducing new ones. Applechem's regulatory team spent two years of navigating China’s new submission requirements, per the company.

Samuel Lin, managing director of Applechem, commented: “Before the new China cosmetic regulations were rolled out, it was difficult for non-domestic manufacturers to introduce innovative polymer structures like Sorbithix into the Chinese market. ... Now, as we align with modern CSAR regulatory requirements, we stand poised to compete with the best, delivering exceptional solutions to the global personal care marketplace.”
