Starting a Beauty Brand Conference Session Announced for Cosmprof North America

This year’s Cosmoprof North America—set to take place at the Manadalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas July 13-15, 2014—announced the first session of its educational conference lineup.

Entrepreneurs bring a unique perspective and passion to the beauty industry, and while the road to success is often long and bumpy, the major challenge is almost always the one having to do with properly funding the company. Whether it’s financing the initial start-up at the seeding and pre-revenue stage, at the midpoint growth when significant investment is necessary in order to pursue expansion, or finally at the exit phase, the topic of funding is ever present. With the advent of technology and barriers being eliminated, the process of funding is becoming in some ways easier. The investment community loves the beauty industry due to the high margins, relatively low cost of entry, and stability of the business.

To address these challenges, concerns and even opportunities, the conference entitled “You Have A Great Idea! Now What?!” which will be hosted by ICMAD (Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers Distributors) Association and moderated by Pam Busiek, president of the association, will tackle the topic. Panelist speakers for this conference session include Robb Akridge, PhD, co-founder, senior vice president and global general manager of Clarisonic; Katie Fitzgerald, business development manager for Circle Up; and Hadley Mullen, managing director of TSG Consumer Group.

This session is open to all Cosmoprof North America event attendees, and prior to June 13, 2014, PBA members can register for $30, while non-members can purchase tickets for $40. After this deadline, ticket prices increase to $40 for PBA members and $50 for non-members.
