A recent retaildive.com article reported that Ulta is set to open its 999th brick-and-mortar location on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, aka North Michigan Avenue.
The article also stated…
- Ulta opened 18 net new stores, in the first quarter––with only two closing––compared to opening 13 net new stores in the same period the prior year
- Ulta plans to open 100 new stores this year, including one in Manhattan during October
- It plans on expanding to 1,400-1,700 stores within the next few years
