Croda recently made significant new investments to boost capabilities in Asia Pacific and the United States.

The company recently unveiled the expansion of its alkoxylation facilities on Jurong Island, Singapore, representing an investment of almost £18 million. The site more than doubles its capacity and allows it to manufacture new chemistries.

“This latest expansion is another step in the execution of Croda’s strategy to develop and supply innovative solutions in Asia for our customers,” said Dr. Nick Challoner, president of Croda Asia Pacific .

Previously, Croda announced a £120 million capital investment in North America that will lead to sustainable non-ionic surfactants from bio-ethanol.
In addition, the company has completed the $3.5 million laboratory expansion of its North American headquarters and innovation center in Edison, New Jersey. The site supports rapid ingredient development and substantiation for unique effects in formulations.
The expansion increased the company’s innovation laboratory space at the facility by more than 50% and overall space by more than 30%.The rennovation included remodelings, expansions and updates for the applications, product validation and claims substantiation, and synthesis laboratories for personal care.
In addition, the company created a dedicated hair color laboratory and doubled the size of its hair salon to substantiate new ingrediients.
