The Orléans Cosmetics Company is now Nippon Shikizai France.
Though the renaming occurred in early 2019, Orléans Cosmetics Company was acquired by the Japanese company Nippon Shikizai Group in 2017. The move was part of the company’s European Strategy, which began with the 2000 acquisition of Thépenier Pharma & Cosmetics Company.

It has invested more than €8 million over 4 years to modernize the production means and standardized production techniques dedicated to pharma or cosmetic products at Thépenier. In 2018 and 2019, it invested nearly €1 million Orléans Cosmetics, which specializes in powders, hot-pourd products and scented derivatives.
Nippon Shikizai Group, which has three factories in Japan—Kanagawa, Osaka and Ibaragi—has increased its production capacity by nearly 50% in two years in both that country and France.
Over the course of the next 20 years, it aims to develop and produce liquid formulas and emulsions for skin care and makeup, with an emphasis on hybrid ranges.
