Sally Beauty Launches Accelerator for Woman-Owned Businesses


Sally Beauty has announced the launch of Sally Beauty Cultivate—For Women by Women, a business accelerator program for female hair care entrepreneurs.

The company is currently accepting applications from female-owned hair care brands. The winning brand will be awarded $25,000 in financial support; product distribution at; and a mentorship from the Sally Beauty team and some of the most influential owners of brands carried by the company. They will also be given the opportunity to expose their brand to beauty influencers at one of the Sally Beauty’s monthly influencer events.

Sally Beauty has an extensive history with woman-led hair care businesses. It was among the first national beauty retailers to distribute female-owned hair care brands including Mielle Organics, The Mane Choice and Arctic Fox; additionally, it launched an exclusive ingredient range with Carol’s Daughter, Pracaxi Mectar Collection. Nearly 1 in 3 sales support woman-owned hair care or color brands, and 1 in 5 support textured hair care brands founded by black women specifically.
