Cosnova GmbH, a German marketer of color cosmetics positioned for price-sensitive consumers, announced net sales of €90 million, 26% growth over 2008 sales.
In 2010, the owners and managing directors, Christina Oster-Daum and Javier González, expect another year of double-digit growth to surpass the €100 million barrier. “These objectives are realistic, as we are not only furthering our development on the European market but are also concentrating on our expansion in the Middle East and in Africa," said González. "At the same time, the [company] is well-prepared financially for the economic climate. We are completely debt free and enjoy an 'A' rating, which allows us to look toward the years ahead with optimism.”
Cosnova GmbH distributes its products to more than 30 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Cosnova Inc. is responsible for distribution in North America. The Essence and Catrice brands are available in approximately 13,500 sales outlets, including drugstores, food retailers, department stores, shopping malls and perfumeries.
