Sukin, a skin care brand based in Australia, has received Leaping Bunny approval from Cruelty Free International.
For Sukin to be approved, it had to forensically investigate its entire supply chain, including every single raw material and individual ingredients.
This project involved obtaining extensive information on more than 200 ingredients from more than 40 suppliers.
Sukin's products are carbon offset, cruelty-free and vegan.
Michelle Thew, Cruelty Free International CEO, said, “We are delighted to award Leaping Bunny Program approval to Sukin. They have always been proud of their commitment to kinder science, and now Sukin has undergone the rigorous process towards Leaping Bunny Program approval to illustrate that commitment. Congratulations and welcome to the Leaping Bunny family.”
Virginia Woodger, global marketing director, Sukin, said, “Sukin is proud to be approved as cruelty free under the globally recognizable gold standard, Leaping Bunny Program. We have worked hard for many months with Cruelty Free International to reach this significant milestone. Throughout our history, we've never tested any products or ingredients on animals, and now that we have officially completed the Leaping Bunny approval process, we are proud to join a prestigious list of beauty companies who also share these values. This approval complements our other sustainability and ethical pillars such as natural, vegan formulations, our carbon offset strategy, and our partnerships with Terracycle and Greening Australia. We will continue to strive to lead the green beauty movement through sustainable, natural and ethical products and innovation.”
