DWB Beauty, from dermatologist Dr. Whitney Bowe, has completed its trifecta of skin cycling products with the launch of the new, refillable Retinal Night, a firming treatment featuring 0.1% retinal (INCI: palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7) .

The hero ingredient was selected due to its high-potency vitamin A, which is reportedly 10x more potent and faster acting than retinol. Retinal is also more impactful at lower doses and remains stable for two or more years, per the brand.

The ingredient was also recently featured in Caroline Hirons' Skin Rocks range.

In addition to its hero ingredient, the formulation also comprises two peptides and five lipids.*

Skin cycling was one of the top growing Google search terms in the beauty sector in 2022, popularized by Bowe on platforms such as TikTok.

"[T]he classic skin cycling routine consists of a four-night schedule," a Today explainer notes. "Night one is exfoliation, night two is for retinoids and nights three and four are recovery nights, where you focus on hydration and barrier repair. Once you finish the cycle, you repeat the process."

The new Retinal Night joins the Bowe Glowe Microbiome Nourishing Cream and Exfoliation Night Resurfacing + Brightening Serum to complete DWB Beauty's skin cycling range.

The formulation reportedly firms and smooths the look of skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It also restores radiance and skin bounce.

Per the brand, 100% of product testers showed a decrease in the look of skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation on the face, neck and chest.

Meanwhile, 96% said their skin looked firmer, while 93% said their skin tolerated the formulation well.
