IMAGE Skincare has named co-founder Marc Ronert, MD, Ph.D., as CEO, marking a strategic return to founder-led leadership as the professional skin care brand enters its next phase of global growth and innovation.
A European board-certified plastic surgeon, Ronert previously served as president during IMAGE Skincare’s formative growth years. His reappointment signals a renewed emphasis on clinical credibility, physician-informed product development and long-term brand value—key differentiators in an increasingly science-driven professional beauty landscape.
Ronert co-founded the brand with his wife, licensed esthetician and entrepreneur Janna Ronert, with the mission of bridging clinical science and results-driven skin care. Most recently, he played a central role in the development and 2025 launch of VOL.U.LIFT, IMAGE Skincare’s advanced volumizing innovation addressing facial skin concerns linked to rapid weight loss from GLP-1/GIP therapies—often referred to as “Ozempic face.” The launch has seen strong professional adoption, reinforcing IMAGE Skincare’s positioning at the intersection of aesthetic medicine and professional skin care.
Under Ronert’s leadership, IMAGE Skincare is expected to accelerate global expansion, deepen its clinical research and innovation pipeline, and further strengthen relationships with physicians and skin care professionals worldwide—aligning the brand with major macro trends shaping the future of professional beauty, from longevity to medically adjacent skin care.
"I come from a clinical background where results matter," says Ronert. "IMAGE Skincare was built with skincare professionals as the core of everything we do. Rebuilding growth means getting back to that foundation. My focus is on supporting our partners, building on our DNA of Innovation, Education and Giving Back to the community to move the company forward."
"I've seen firsthand the purpose and discipline Marc brings to everything he builds," says Janna Ronert, co-founder and chairwoman of the board, IMAGE Skincare. "His return as CEO reinforces our shared commitment to pushing clinical skincare forward and honoring the professionals and consumers who trust IMAGE. On a personal level, welcoming him back into this role—as my husband and co-founder—makes this moment especially meaningful."
