Per the complaint, Clarisonic customers have been given replacement products, under the warranty, with the same defect.

Clarisonic is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit claiming the products are unusable due to a waterproofing defect that causes product failure when used in the shower, bath or sink, according to ClassAction.org.

L’Oréal USA, Inc. claims the products are waterproof, however after using the Clarisonic per its package directions, many consumers have experienced battery failure, meaning the brush cannot be turned on or recharged, the lawsuit states.

The complaint claims L’Oréal has failed to acknowledge or fix the defect and when consumers take advantage of the product’s warranty they are sent a replacement with the same flaw.
