Skylar Hires Chief Marketing Officer in Prep for Portfolio Expansion

Skylar has announced the appointment of Bernard Zion to the position of chief marketing officer. Zion reports to founder and CEO Cat Chen. He will lead all aspects of marketing as Skylar enters its latest growth phase; the brand has expanded its portfolio of clean products into scented body and personal care categories and into partnered retail.

Zion joins Skylar from The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc., where he led the marketing teams at Smashbox Cosmetics and Bumble and bumble, He was responsible for expanding consumer engagement at Smashbox and launching Bumble and bumble into Sephora.

Prior to his tenure at Estée Lauder, Zion held marketing leadership roles at L’Oréal on the flagship L’Oréal Paris brand.
