According to research and advisory firm, Gartner, artificial intelligence (AI) "is being used to capture, interpret and respond to human emotions and moods."

Gartner explains that emotion AI, or affective computing, enables everyday objects to detect, analyze, process and respond to people’s emotional states and moods—from happiness and love to fear and shame.

This technology can reportedly be used to create more personalized user experiences.
