The winners of the 2024 in-cosmetics Global Awards, sponsored by Kenvue, were unveiled during a live ceremony held the first evening at the event (April 14). Visitors and exhibitors came together as the winners were revealed and celebrated their victories during the awards after party. An acclaimed panel of some 40 judges from Kenvue, Ecovia Intelligence, Unilever, Coty, Haleon and more narrowed down the 83 shortlisted entries to just 20. Following are the winners.

Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards

Actives

Gold: dsm-firmenich, for its Eterwell Youth, a senolytic active made from Epilobium fleischeri leaf/stem extract that boosts collagen, helps to revert skin damage induced by zombie cells and slows the premature aging of skin, amongst other benefits.

Silver: Mibelle Biochemistry for RejuveNAD, an active ingredient that optimizes cellular functions to revitalize the skin by naturally boosting the longevity molecule NAD+.

Bronze: CODIF TN, for its Regetaste, which strengthens the skin's barrier function, reducing desquamation and leaving skin smoother, softer, fresher and more radiant.

Functionals

Gold: Evonik, for its Ecohance Remo XP, a versatile and mild ingredient that functions as a rheology modifier, hydrophilic emollient and sensory enhancer. It can be used in a broad range of personal care applications, including those positioned as nature-derived and sustainable.

Silver: Galaxy Surfactants Ltd., for its natural derma cleanser Galseer DermaGreen.

Bronze: Lubrizol Life Science, for Carbopol Fusion S-20 polymer; a natural, inherently biodegradable, rheology modifier for cleansing systems.

Green Ingredient Awards

In partnership with Ecovia Intelligence the green ingredient awards were presented as follows.

Gold: Boreal Bioproducts, for its SpruceSugar ingredient, a biodegradable grease barrier film-former, anionic surfactant and low viscosity modifier.

Silver: Ashland, for its Perfectyl biofunctional, a high-tech chamomile extract, inspired by new aesthetic techniques, to clarify and smoothe skin flaws for all ethnicities.

Bronze: Lignovations, for its LignoGuard Aqua 20 eco-friendly multifunctional from upcycled lignin.

Kenvue Trusted Science Award

Celebrating its "coming out" as a partner in beauty innovation, Kenvue sponsored this year's in-cosmetics Global awards, including the company's all-new namesake Trusted Science Award, "celebrating innovative and effective modern ingredients [that] consumers can count on for everyday care.

Gold: BASF, for its Hydrasensyl Glucan Green, a bioferment with clinical results that demonstrate significant skin smoothing and hydrating benefits immediately and over time.

Silver: Evonik Industries, for its Tego Filmstar One MB, a 100% bio-based and biodegradable film former.

Bronze: Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, for its Immunight green-processed, oil-soluble lavandin extract that helps boosts nighttime skin recovery.

Sustainable Stand Award

The all-new Sustainable Stand Award acknowledges exhibitors who have actively implemented eco-conscious measures when designing and building their stands. The judging panel considered environmental credentials, production, operations and impact.

Winner: Ravetllat Aromatics S.L., which took into account its sustainability credentials and measurements, from minimizing waste and recycling to materials re-use, legacy, CO2 emissions, and more.

Rising Star Award

This award applauds new talent, recognizing first- and second-year exhibitors at the show.

Joint Winners: Kaffe Bueno and Skinosive

Kaffe Bueno is a Danish startup that specializes in creating upcycling coffee by-products.

Skinosive is a science-driven dermocosmetics biotech company developing a technology platform in skin photoprotection.

Makeup and Sensory Bar Awards

Makeup Bar

Bronze: Nikko Chemicals, for 冷製美 (REI-SEI-BI)- Cold Process Beauty

Silver: Imerys Talc Europe, for its Matte lipstick ceremony, a lipstick enriched with ImerCare 400D (INCI: Diatomaceous earth) which gives a mattifying look while keeping a creamy effect.

Gold: Eckart GmbH, for its Trend Colors Autumn and Winter 2025/26.

Sensory Bar

Bronze: Technature, for SkinSitu Caps; little tablets that transform into a cleansing foam upon the addition of water.

Silver: Univar Solutions, for its aqueous cloud gel, Lavish Lavender Oil-free Massage Gel.

Gold: Microcaps AG, for its ethanol-free and natural perfume pearls. The company's patented technology enables ethanol-free perfume products that have "never been seen before and allows a fragrance concentration of more than 20% in the final product."
