ReVive’s Elana Drell Szyfer and Symrise’s Achim Daub were honored at the 14th annual Beyond Beauty dinner and benefit.

The Beyond Beauty dinner benefits the James E. Marshall OCD Foundation. To date, the organization, founded by Elysée Cosmetics president Linda Marshall, has raised nearly $ 4 million for OCD research. Funds from the event went to support the research of Dr. Gerald Nestadt, director of the Johns Hopkins Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science.

The evening included special speaker Danielle Lauder—actor, mental health advocate and daughter of Estee Lauder chairman William Lauder—who spoke on the importance of mental health check-ups for students.

“I am grateful to be honored at the Beyond Beauty event along with the other honorees. As industry leaders, we are in the position to create more awareness about OCD,” said Daub. “Working for one of the global leaders in delivering well-being and beauty through fragrance and ingredients, I was keen to understand what connections exist between the things we do as a company and this tragic disorder.”

“I admire the platform of advocacy and funding that Linda Marshall has created. It combines our shared love of the beauty industry and its community and the importance of carrying forward the memory and impact of beloved family members,” said Szyfer.
