Scottish makeup artist and social media influencer Jamie Genevieve scored £5.5 million in Series A funding for her makeup brand, Vieve, according to a report from insider.co.uk.

About £1 million came from Pembroke VCT.

Besides the venture capitalist trust, other investors include Venrex Investment Management and Samos Investments—the early stage investors in Charlotte Tilbury—and Active Partners.

Vieve plans to use the funding to enhance its team’s expertise, develop products and expand the brand globally, initially focusing on markets in the United States and Australia.

Genevieve, who has 3 million social media followers, launched the brand in 2020 to provide high-quality yet accessible beauty products made with vegan, paraben-, gluten- and cruelty-free formulas.
