Coty's latest financials point to a company challenged by a range of struggling legacy brands, including those acquired from P&G in 2015, even as direct to consumer upstarts continue to challenge traditional beauty leaders. Now comes word, via WWD, that the beauty giant is looking to acquire a controlling stake in Kylie Cosmetics, which was born at Seed Beauty and quickly grew sales past $1 billion.
The brand has since launched a poorly received skin care range.
No deal is imminent, per the report.
