Applications are due, at the latest, January 13, 2020 at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time. As part accelerator, part boot camp, participants will learn the ins and outs of mass retail while working with a team of mentors and Target leaders to better their brands.
Consisting of in-person and virtual training sessions, the program will explore different topics through various workshops.
- Week 1 (March 2 through March 6, 2020): Startups begin with a week of in-person workshops, mentor meetings and more at the Target headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Weeks 2, 3 and 4 (March 9 through March 27, 2020): Startups return to work from their own offices, but remain connected with virtual workshops and continued mentor touch points.
- Week 5 (March 30 through April 3, 2020): Participants return to Minneapolis for the remaining workshop and mentoring sessions, in addition to the program culminating in a demo day and showcase celebration.
New to the program this year, in exchange for participating in a Target Accelerator, the participating company will provide Target with warrants that convert into equity upon/if entering into a commercial agreement. Upon acceptance into this year’s program, up to two people from each brand will receive travel and accommodations for their time spent in Minneapolis.
