P&G's Q1 2024 beauty net sales rose 2% year-over-year to $3,550 million, while grooming net sales increased 3% to $1,539 million; mix was down 1% in both sectors.
Skin and personal care organic sales dropped in the "low single digits," per P&G, driven primarily by weakness in the China-exposed SK-II brand.
That said, there was volume growth from new innovations in personal care.
In hair care, organic sales jumped in the high single digits due to pricing increases in North and Latin America and Europe.
In grooming, meanwhile, higher pricing in Europe and Latin America drove organic sales gains.
