Crowdfunding platform Beauty Backer LLC has launched COVaid, which is a zero-fee, donation only category, available to small businesses, entrepreneurs and startups experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19.

COVaid is available to businesses of all industries and Beauty Backer is waiving its fees on contributions made through the new COVID-19 support category.

Through the launch of COVaid, Beauty Backer is aiming to help keep businesses afloat during the economic downturn relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the company, businesses that qualify for government aid may not see it for several months.

By setting up a crowdfunding campaign through COVaid, businesses can immediately begin collecting donations.

Consumer products experienced an 11.1% like-for-like increase in sales, totaling 4,172.8 million euros, while professional product sales jumped 10.7% like-for-like to 1,243.3 million.
