L’Oréal Paris and Hollaback! have partnered for Stand Up, a program targeting street harassment and aiming to train one million people to stand against it before the end of 2021.

The effort hopes to disrupt the dynamic by encouraging individuals to intervene when witnessing street harassment, as well as building a culture where street harassment is seen as unacceptable behavior.

Leveraging Hollaback!’s Five D methodology, Stand Up will train people to safely intervene when they experience or witness harassment in public spaces.

The Five D’s:

  • Distract
  • Delegate
  • Document
  • Direct
  • Delay
