Estée Lauder's Volunteer Awards

Estée Lauder hosted the fifth Leonard A. Lauder Volunteer of the Year Awards, recognizing employees who demonstrated unique and impactful community service. The winners this year were recognized for their work with children's health, poverty reduction and suicide prevention, among other areas. 

The full list of winners are as follows:

Herminia (Ermin) Ilao, brand coordinator, M∙A∙C Cosmetics, Philippines: Works with Gawad Kalinga, an organization that seeks to end poverty for families through a community development template that has values-formation at its core and special focus on restoration of dignity and productivity of those in need.

María Sofía Tiscareño Barreras, Business Manager, Finance, Mexico: Works with Dr. Sonrisas, an organization that aims to raise the spirits of children with life-threatening diseases.

Erik Arveseth, Senior Manager, Global Education, Aveda, United States: Works with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Sam Leaverland, Manager, Corporate Tax & Treasury, UK Estée Lauder Cosmetics Limited: Rallies colleagues in the UK and Ireland to volunteer with Mission Christmas and Positive Action, among other organizations, to benefit children in need.

Global Information Services Team, accepted by Denise Clark, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, The Estée Lauder Companies: Efforts to support multiple nonprofits and causes through an annual Day of Service globally.

Each honoree received an honorary donation of $5,000 or the local equivalent was made to each primary group they supported.
