French biotech newcomer Næmos is making an aggressive push into next-generation skin care actives with two ingredients designed to target skin resilience and neuro-longevity through precision-grown phytochemicals.

At the center of the company’s launch are Shisome and Synatis, two actives developed using Næmos’s Elite precision indoor farming platform, which combines controlled cultivation with elicitation technology to amplify specific secondary metabolites and biological activity.

Shisome positions itself around the emerging concept of “skinome” protection—a holistic approach aimed at preserving the genome, lipidome, proteome and microbiome simultaneously. Derived from red shiso, the ingredient delivers a phytochemical complex standardized to contain four times the concentration of rosmarinic acid, boosting antioxidant performance and targeting skin resilience.

According to the company, Shisome is designed to reinforce skin homeostasis while improving visible signs of aging, including wrinkles. The ingredient also taps into the growing demand for multifunctional actives that bridge antioxidant defense, microbiome support and well-aging positioning in a single platform.

Meanwhile, Synatis takes aim at the rapidly expanding neuro-cosmetics category with what Næmos describes as a “mechanoreceptor modulation” strategy. Built around sinapic acid, the ingredient is designed to restore mechanosensory communication pathways in the skin—an approach intended to reconnect skin with environmental stimuli and support long-term skin vitality.

The company says Synatis improves collagen network organization while reducing visible signs of aging and enhancing consumer well-being through sensorial skin pathways. The positioning aligns with the industry’s increasing interest in neuro-longevity, skin-brain signaling and emotional wellness claims in topical beauty formulations.
