Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York City flagship has unveiled its new 32,000 sq. ft. beauty space.

Located on the second floor, the beauty space features more than 120 color cosmetics, skin care, fragrance and wellness brands; 58 are new to the floor. Anchor shops include Aesop, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy and Tom Ford.

Among the fragrance offerings are Bond No. 9, By Kilian, Ex Nihilo and Hermès, as well as an Apothecary concept including a 160 sq. ft. curated boutique of niche beauty products and expert picks from 30 brands.

Now 40% larger, the floor also includes 15 new spa rooms for services such as medi-spa treatments, facials, massages and brow services.

Treatments and experiences include FaceGym, a non-invasive “facial workout” exclusive to the retailer; dedicated spa rooms for brands including Chanel, Clé de Peau Beauté, Dior, La Mer, La Prairie and Sisely Paris; brow and lash styling by Blink Brow Bar London; and hand-tied floral arrangements by EB Florals.

Additional highlights included Gucci’s first new beauty concept store in the United States and a Guerlain Parfumeur boutique with 110 creations; visitors can choose their own scent via a digital consultation, and personalize their own bottles.

“As part of Saks' overall growth strategy, we continue to look for ways to innovate, create and disrupt. The bold decision to move Beauty to the second floor, from the traditional main floor model, allowed us to build a one-of-a-kind destination enabling Saks to create the epitome of an experiential beauty floor,” said president Marc Metrick. "We continue to apply the principles of what we call The New Luxury to everything we do.  What we've done with Beauty gives the customer a warmer environment, differentiated from what they can get anywhere else and creates a reason to come to Saks and experience our brand.”

Added chief merchant Tracy Margolies: “What makes this new beauty concept special is the exclusive services and unparalleled offering of brands we are providing to our clients. We curated the floor to represent the best innovations in beauty and wellness in a truly specialized space. By offering beauty and wellness workshops and panels, Saks is taking a holistic approach to make our clients feel great both inside and out.”
