Scalp-care brand Jupiter is expanding into specialty beauty with its launch on Ulta.com, followed by a rollout to approximately 500 Ulta Beauty stores beginning Aug. 23. The move marks a significant step beyond Jupiter’s DTC, Amazon and Target presence—and further evidence that scalp health is shifting from a treatment-focused niche into an everyday beauty category.
The launch is aligned with Ulta's larger hair and scalp wellness agenda, as evidenced by its recent addition of scalp-focused brand Nutrire.

According to first-half 2026 Circana data, the category's star is treatment. Hair serums surged nearly 60%, while masks, oils, leave-in treatments and scalp-focused products also delivered healthy gains.
Jupiter's Ulta assortment spans anti-dandruff shampoos and serums, conditioners, scalp moisturizer and tools, alongside the new Day 2 Dry Shampoo. The non-aerosol powder is positioned as more than a styling product, combining oil and odor absorption with scalp-barrier and microbiome claims, supported by postbiotics, hyaluronic acid and ashwagandha.
The launch illustrates how scalp care is increasingly adopting the multifunctional language of skin care, layering cleansing, hydration, barrier support and microbiome benefits onto familiar hair-care formats. Jupiter’s move into Ulta also gives the category greater visibility among mainstream beauty shoppers, potentially accelerating the normalization of scalp health as another essential step in the broader beauty routine.
