Award shows and celebrity events are known for their signature red carpets, but this year’s 2013 Dallas International Film Festival will feature a Mary Kay pink carpet in honor of the cosmetic giant’s 50th anniversary celebration. Filmmakers, actors and members of the community will walk the pink carpet on opening night, receive Mary Kay products as part of their giveaway and learn more about the company’s mission to bring an end to domestic violence. Opening night will feature a public service announcement style video produced by Mary Kay Inc. to spread the message about the company’s Don’t Look Away campaign aimed at ending abuse.
“Partnering with the Dallas International Film Festival is a great opportunity for Mary Kay to spread the message about a new text for help service that provides healthy dating and relationship advice,” said Mary Kay corporate social responsibility director Crayton Webb. “With a focus on education and prevention, Mary Kay hopes to bring an end to domestic violence before it starts.”
