Parlux Fragrances, Inc. announced the results of its second quarter, which ended September 30, 2008. Sales increased by 40% since the same quarter last year, totaling $52.39 million. Subsequently, net profits amounted to $3.6 million, an increase of 79% from the same period of the prior year.
“We continue to strategically invest in building our basic businesses with new fragrance introductions, and the creation of new franchises, such as Jessica Simpson Fancy, which launched in the quarter,” said Neil Katz, chairman and CEO of Parlux.
Parlux, a manufacturer and international distributor of prestige products, also holds licenses for Paris Hilton, GUESS?, Nicole Miller, Natori, Queen Latifah, XOXO, Ocean Pacific (OP), Andy Roddick, BabyGund and Fred Hayman Beverly Hills designer fragrances.
According to Katz, Parlux’s success stems from consistent substantial investment in its sales and marketing structure.
