BASF Care Chemicals increases prices on certain betaine, sulfate and fatty alcohol product lines.
BASF Care Chemicals North America will be raising both the list and off-list prices of various betaine, sulfate and fatty alcohol products, tentatively effective October 1, 2020.

The price increase will range from $.02 to $.09 per kilogram. The surfactants can be found in shampoos, cleansers, dishwashing and detergent items, while fatty alcohols can be found in cosmetics and pharmaceutical formulas.
The product lines affected include:
- BASF Dehyton
- Texapon
- Disponil
- Agnique
- Standapol
- Plantapon and
- Lanette
