Chanel partnered with Knoll Packaging to create the advent calendar to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its Chanel N°5 fragrance.

Together, the two chose to use Knoll Ecoform molded pulp to create the advent calendar, due to its sustainability benefits and ability to be formed. The calendar is filled with 27 folding carton boxes, numbered from 5 to 31, a nod to the N°5 perfume and Chanel's address at 31 rue Cambon in Paris.

Benjamin Cohen, creative and innovation director at Knoll said, “The Chanel Knoll Ecoform Molded Pulp Advent Calendar was an industry-first and we’re thrilled to see it continue to be awarded for its innovation. As a supplier, it is particularly special to be recognized at the Pentawards since this project was a deep collaboration between our engineering and creative teams with Chanel. This advent calendar has shifted the luxury packaging sector and we’re honored to continue celebrating its extraordinary achievement.“

The advent calendar was also shortlisted for the People’s Choice Awards.
