Shiseido Names Nicole Tran CEO of Asia Pacific Region

Shiseido Company, Ltd., has announced the appointment of Nicole Tran as president and CEO of the Asia Pacific Region.

According to the company, Tran will develop and execute the strategic vision for Shiseido’s operations in Asia Pacific Region, managing all countries and local affiliates, and overseeing all activities within the region related to brands and businesses for the Shiseido Group.

In addition to Tran’s appointment, Masahiko Uotani will continue his role as president and CEO and Japan CEO, as well as serve in his new position as representative director, chairman and CEO, Shiseido Japan Co., Ltd.

Norio Tadakawa will remain in his role as executive corporate officer but will also assume the role of Japan region chief operating officer, representative director, president and COO, Shiseido Japan Co., Ltd.

Akihiro Miura will continue working as the corporate officer and take on the role of acting chief supply network officer.

Uotani said: “We are extremely excited to welcome Nicole to the Shiseido Family. Her deep and wide understanding of beauty business in the Asia Pacific Region along with her motivational, inspiring leadership are a perfect fit for Shiseido. With these qualifications, she will help take not only the Asia Pacific Region but the entire Shiseido Group to the next level of success as the first female Regional CEO.”
