Truly Organic to Pay $1.76 Million to Settle FTC Complaint

FTC425

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has filed a complaint against bath and beauty retailer Truly Organic Inc.

According to the FTC website, the complaint alleges that Truly Organic's bath and beauty products are neither "100% organic" nor "certified organic" by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Truly Organic, which also advertises its products as vegan, despite containing honey and lactose, will reportedly pay $1.76 million to settle the complaint.

Truly Organic products are currently retailed nationwide on the retailer's website, social media accounts, and on third-party websites including ulta.com, urbanoutfitters.com, nordstrom.com and aerie.com.
